Description
Her name is Goblin. Disturbed and abused, she has a magic ring that conjures up a serpentine overseer to reek havoc on any who mean to harm her...Yes, I got a little "smudge tool" happy with my strokes, but I wanted to show a sense of a battered and torn character study, the shadow of the looming villian figure, the unfeeling gaze in her eyes, and the foreboding of the skull implied in the moon.
This was an illustration done for a short story titled "A Step Into Darkness" in the L Ron Hubbard Presents The Best of the Writers of the Future anthology published by Bridge Publications, Inc.
It is a collection of some of the best writers' stories from the writers competition and illustrated by winners of the illustration competition.
