Description
This is my first digital portrait, done about a week before Autumn Angel Autumn Angel byAgain, I was trying to emulate my oil painting technique, though a bit looser, and have this printed to canvas.
The final was very convincing and the recipients thought it was an oil painting. When I explained how I did it, they seemed even more impressed - and with the money it saved them off my regular portrait pricing, who wouldn't be?!!!
Painter 8 and Wacom I2.

I'd actually thought Autumn Angel was technically a better, more evocative piece, but it seems most can't resist a cherubic tot!
A few responses:
Michelle - The "smudge" is a dimple below his cheek catching reflection from the shirt - it's supposed to be there, but perhaps not pulled off as well as it could be.
Dream Theater - Sorry, no speakie whatever gibberish that is!
Whizzy - Still debating whether making digital look like oil is a good thing or not - does it matter? I dunno, it's just kind of the way I paint, and until a digipainting "looks" like what I'm used to seeing, I keep going on it - virtue or vice(?)
KKat - I'm actually fighting tendencies to put too much detail in - trying to make it looser. Don't know if I've struck a compatible balance for myself yet either.
Again, thanks everyone for you comments!

PG5 - Yes, just pretty much straight up portraiture. I've seen some artists who try to invoke "artsy" embellishment to their portraits, but that's not the purpose on this piece.
I shot the photo for Autumn Angel so did have creative control at the onset on that one, and is more my "style" of portraying someone.
Tell you what, you tell me how you get that "vector style" with PSCS and photos and I'll tell you a bit more about this printing to canvas thing... deal?!!!
